Interrrupted Printing

2005-05-20 by jamesdsteele2001

Running OSX 10.3.9, printing using QTR on 17x22 centered paper. The printing starts
just fine and then about 1/3 into the print it stops, backs up to the top of the page, prints
out some very light banding, skips down to the middle of the page and says it's out of
paper. Does anyone have a clue as to what is going on?

thanks,

Jim

Might want to try this USB patch for 10.3.x...I'm pretty sure it will fix the problem:

John

Many thanks. I'll give it a try.

Jim

I use 10.3.9 & a 4000, & have a similar problem - printing about 2/3 of the page, then
going back to the beginning & over-printing - an expensive waste of paper.

I downloaded the patch, but found that the 4000 isn't listed as one of the printers it fixes.

An oversight in the list? Nobody else with a 4000 has this problem? Or is a 4000 version
on the way?

The patch fixes the feeding problem with the 4000. Here's a copy + paste from the below
link regarding the patch. "This also appears to fix the 4000 problem of misfeeding paper."

Forgot to add that the patch fixed my client's 4000 feeding problem. It fixed James Steele
4000 also...but it added a new problem.
