QTR-NK6-Epson7000-Resolution?

QTR-NK6-Epson7000-Resolution?

2006-10-31 by john dean

Hi Roy,

I am outputting the "best" quality setting in
QTR on my 7000 with Piezotone NK6. The resolution chosen is 1440 dpi.
But what is the other dimension resolution - 1440 x 720? 1440 x 1440?
or what? With Ultrachome you have a choice of resolutions but with NK6
there is only one selection that simply says 1440. I was just
wondering what that was or how one finds out?

By the way I'm still waiting on my big carts for the 10K which should
be within a week.

Best,

John

Hi John,

It's 1440x720 dpi and the reason is that the printer is only capable
of that resolution. It also doesn't have a "super" weave algorithm.
The only real option is the bi-directional / uni-directional selection.

All the ultrachrome printers support 2880x1440 and that was used for
all the inkjetmall supplied K7 profiles.

Thanks Roy,

That is what I thought.

I just wanted to make sure. By the way this software is working
wonderfully with the 7000 machines, very smooth indeed.
