Thanks to Roy

I just sent an extra $50.00 to Roy Harrington. I've been a user since
the beginning and felt he diserved a thank you, especially for the
latest version.

 Thanks Roy.

P.S. I posted this at the B&W Group as well.

I just saw that the new version of QTR now supports the Epson 10K with
the NK6 Piezotone inkset. YES. Thank you sir! You read my mind. I
believe these 10K inks are going out to us this week. We appreciate
your dedicaton to continuing to update this sofware Roy and keep up
with our needs. He did the 3800 too! You da man. I'm going to send you
a cash payment as well this week.

John

John,
But I do not see any profiles for that setup, or for that fact any
profiles, for the 10000, just the install script for the driver. Am I
looking in the wrong place?

Mark,

You're right. I just downloaded it and there are no curves and there
is no curve drop box for the NK6 10K. I don't know if Cone has't made
them yet or if we need to make our own, which is fine, but I'll need
the curve drop box I would think to install them.

John, you could use one of the 9000 curves to start with ?

Maybe Roy can also tell us what the base is of the driver: I
guess a hybrid between the 9000 and the 9600 driver.

Curves should be very easy for the 10K with K6 inks. But first someone
has to have the inks in the printer. I worked with Mark to get the
variable
dotsizes calibrated and that's finished.

The inkset is very straightforward so the curves under 9000-K6 are a
perfect
starting point. You'll see one "Raw" curve which is just a
non-linearized
curve. I suspect all you need to do is print out a target with this
profile,
measure it for linearization and insert the linearize values. And
you're done.

I think the ink limits are pretty good as is, but you may want to vary
them if
needed -- just add or subtract the same percentage from all the ink
limits.
BTW, also make sure the inks are in the same order.

Thanks Roy,

As soon as they get me the inks I do what you say and report back to
you. I think it should be easy too.
