Not getting how it works really...profile for Hahnemuhle Photorag?

2007-02-28 by dddinah311

Hi,
I am not a techie and I am wondering exactly how to print with my Hahnemuhle photorag
profile that I am used to.
This is what I'm doing so far, but don't know if it is right or if perhaps I can get photorag
profile as one of the pulldown curve selections.

Can someone correct what I'm doing?? Please! Thank you!!!

In Print w/ Preview
Document: I put Adobe RGB 1998

In Printspace Profile: I put my photorag profile
or should I put QTR Gray Matte Paper??

When I press Print:

   Printer: I put Quad2200

   Presets: I put standard

   Copies and Pages:

I select Quad Tone RIP, then
	Mode: Quad Tone RIP

Curve #1 : Pull down menu (No Hahnemuhle here!!) I select UC EEnh Matte warm

Curve#2: I select UC EEnh Matte warm

Curve#3: I select EEnh Matte warm

If I want a split tone with both Warm and Sepia, does it matter which Curve is
dedicated to Warm and which to Sepia?
When I selected them the photo didn't seem to change.
What is the difference in curve # 1,2,3 anyways?
 Do I need them all?

If I am working with a black and white image in RGB, should I not do anything in
Hue/Saturation or Channel Mixer?
Is it possible to select the Quadtone curves and make adjustments in Hue/
	saturation as well?

Thanks for the help... I know I am floundering ,but I am a color photographer just using
this for the first time!
