10K Firewire?

10K Firewire?

Is there some reason why the new QTR 10K driver for the NK6 inkset
won't load with a firewire connection? Must we use usb on this machine?

Might want to check with Roy on that. It took a few tries by him to
get the USB and ethernet thing to work.

I am running it via ethernet with no issues.

The ethernet connection worked a year ago when I tried QTR
with a color ink loaded 10000CF.

Re: [QuadtoneRIP] 10K Firewire?

2007-03-03 by Roy Harrington

Firewire on Mac OS X is the issue. Epson uses some non-standard
protocol on
their firewire port so the generic OS X firewire handler that QTR uses
does not work with it.
Epson has their own firewire driver which is why that works.

Ethernet is probably the best way to go. USB2.0 is plenty good enough
but USB1.1 is
a bit slow.
