10K Firewire?

Is there some reason why the new QTR 10K driver for the NK6 inkset won't load with a firewire connection? Must we use usb on this machine? John

Might want to check with Roy on that. It took a few tries by him to get the USB and ethernet thing to work. Mark

Firewire on Mac OS X is the issue. Epson uses some non-standard protocol on their firewire port so the generic OS X firewire handler that QTR uses does not work with it. Epson has their own firewire driver which is why that works. Ethernet is probably the best way to go. USB2.0 is plenty good enough but USB1.1 is a bit slow.
