What B&W Printing method do you Primarily use with QTR? 

  o OEM color inks 
  o B&W inks with Color Inks as toners 
  o Multi-tone B&W inks (i.e. Black + 3 color carbon set) 
  o Multi Tint K with no toned inks (Cone K7, Septone) 
  o Funky Home-mixed ink combos

Which category for MIS UT7 inks - #4?

When I set it up I was thinking that fit "B&W inks with Color Inks as  
toners"

I guess those are really "Color Inks" so much as "toned Grey inks"

I used UT7 for a while in 2005. Good results, but I thought there  
weren't enough grey inks in the partition to create smooth enough  
tones in the portraits I do.

Good point. I see how #2 could have been chosen for UT7. I wonder how
many others were confused by the categories, or weren't confused but
mistakenly chose the "wrong" category anyway.

I use UT7 in my 7600 for landscape photographs and I'm very happy with
the inks. I especially like the refillable carts, which saves me $$$.
Haven't noticed the lack of tonal smoothness you mention. I find QTR
gives smoother results than the Epson driver.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
