Warning Newbie question: Media Type Setting?

Warning Newbie question: Media Type Setting?

2007-04-18 by David Swinnard

With Hahn. FA Pearl and Museo Silver Rag, both ostensibly glossy, but
not really, what would be the appropriate Media Type setting when
using PK on the Epson R2400 printer? (Windows, QTRGui 2.5.1.5).

The QTR User Guide (v 1.1) indicates Media Type is normally left to
Matte even for non-Matte papers. It strikes me as odd there should be
so many choices available if this is the recommended practice.

Can anybody shed some light on this please?

Dave

Media Type comes from the printer drive definition. I think the
"recommendation?" is more a statement that settings of Media Type make little
difference in the output.
