banding on the 1800

Hi, i am using an 1800 to print my images and although QTR gives me some incredible results, I am getting an ever so slight banding problem. It occurs in the mid tone ranges. It also seems to deminish when I use a third curvwe. I have tried every deither adjustment and it helps slightly but does not fix the problem. If I use the epson print drivers I have no problem. Any ideas anyone? Thank you in advance.
