Any Stylus 3000 users still out there?

Any Stylus 3000 users still out there?

2007-06-09 by David Burren

I've run QTR with K7 inks on an R800 for a while, so I have a little experience with QTR (on
OSX, at least). I've got a 3000 which I'm considering outfitting with Selenium PiezoTone
carts. At the moment I'm just experimenting until I get the new ink, but the basics work.

How many people here are still using 3000s with QTR? Or have used 3000s in the past and
might have profiles/curves (or even just advice) lying around?

I'd be interested to hear from any of you. Thanks!

Hi David,

I won't be a help for you, but I'm using a 3000. I was in the learning stage
last summer and have been sidetracked, but I am getting good prints from the
original quadtone inkset.

I printed with the Selenium inkset and the Warm Neutral inset on a pair of 3000's for several
years with beautiful results. Recently, both 3000's finally broke down so I converted my 7500
to K6.

Bottom line - the 3000 works very well with the Piezotone inks - just make sire you run the
printer at least once every fe days to keep the heads clear.

Hi David.
I'm still running a 3000 for Quads. Currently with UTFS & FSN inks. In
the past I ran the VM and VMS inks and have run self diluted ink sets
as well. It makes great prints. QTR is a winner with it.

Regards
Duane
