Interface Cable for Xrite 810

Interface Cable for Xrite 810

2007-07-26 by skefford_1

Hi,

I have just got myself an Xrite 810. I want to get an interface cable,
but I am not sure what the specification of it is. Can anybody help?

Steve

Steve

All you ever wanted to know about the Xrite 810 is on the Xrite web site.
The RS-232 cable pin-out spec is here:

	http://www.xrite.com/support_doc.aspx?SupportID=16&Type=d

I believe a null modem cable works, although it's been a few years since I
hooked mine up.

Yes, a null modem cable is what you need, Maplins have them. Don't buy
it from X-Rite who wanted \ufffd45 for one when I enquired.

I have the same unit, why would you need a cable?

With a cable you can connect the 810 to your computer. Once that's done you
can use various freeware such as Xkey to put density readings directly into
an application such as a spreadsheet or QTR.
