QTR-Quadtone RIP

I have bought a package of photorag paper of 460 grms. I use the
manual front on an Epson 2400 to load the paper. But in QTR the blacks
are smearing out over the image. It seems I can't choose thick paper
in QTR. in the epson driver you can choose that option. Also is there
a way to align the printhead when loading the paper in the front of
the printer? It does not work when I try.
