QTR-Quadtone RIP

Hi there,
I am thnking of using the MIS ink set for the Epson 2200. However one 
of my printing needs is to print on Pictorico, a transparency. I use 
that to etch a polymer coated plate for print making. The etching is 
done with UV light so I can't have colored dye tinting the black and 
white image.  I am hoping that I can use the first three cartridges 
only, with the Quadtone rip and if so I could place a Photo black in 
all three and avoid using the other cartridges that have some color 
component.(the transparency won't bond with matte blacks) Will the RiP 
allow this?
