OT - MAKE roll adapter for 3800??

OT - MAKE roll adapter for 3800??

2007-10-28 by jwinberg1

Hi Gang:

Mike Chaney's latest version of QImage purports to get around the
length limits imposed by printer drivers - permits prints to 1000"!

IF this works, has anyone tried to MAKE a roll paper adapter for the
3800 - it should not be THAT difficult!

ANY feedback welcome..... Jack Winberg

Jack,

One thing you have to realize is that you can only get one print per sheet of
paper. The printer always feeds everything out after printing since there's no
roll mode in the firmware.

The Epson driver is capped at 37 inches but I found the printer quite able to
accept longer prints. QTR goes up to 128 inches but handling the paper gets
more and more of a hassle.

Roy, are you hearing any discussion about Ink Jet Mall support of the 3800?

No, but I'll probably learn about at the same time as you do.

It seems it's a possibility that the 3800 will NEVER get supported. Do you agree?

2007-11-02 by Del Bomberger

Roy:

I have made two unsuccessful attempts to unsubscribe to this list,
the most recent yesterday. Can you help me. This is a little more
info than I can deal with at the moment.

Thanks

Del Bomberger
