Can't copy or create new profiles - Mac Tiger

Can't copy or create new profiles - Mac Tiger

2008-02-09 by monophotouk

I'm new to Mac and QTR. I have run the installation file on my Mac
(Tiger 10.4.11) which has worked and I am able to access the in-built
profiles when printing from Photoshop CS. However, when trying to
calibrate and attempting to copy/paste the Epson 2100 UcEEnhMatte-warm
profile in order to modify it I am denied access. It seems that the
installation has mounted QTR on my desktop and the mount permissions
are keeping me out. (I don't want to have to mount it every time
either.) Has my installation run correctly in creating this mount
point? I specified installation to the macintosh HD during the install
wizard and no other alternatives were created.

Any help gratefully received while I still have some hair!

Thanks.

Mark

Hi Mark,

The download is a read-only diskimage. Just drag stuff you want to modify
to your own disk folder. This also gets rid of the mounting issue.

Hi Roy,

Thanks for the reply. That worked great. It might be worth adding for
anyone else who encounters the problem that once you have done this it
is necessary to run the profile installation script again (located
inside the folder containing the profiles to be installed) before
Photoshop will pick up any changes.

Thanks again.

Mark

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
