QTR-Quadtone RIP

Is QTR-Create-ICC designed to be used when printing with QTR or is it
for printing with Epson ABW or both?  I can figure out how to use it
when printing with ABW but how about with QTR?  Do I embed the icc
file in the image while still in CS3?  

I've been printing through QTR but using Qimage's "print to file"
feature and there you set it up like it's going straight to the
printer choosing the printer profile.  Thing is with Qimage it
converts to RGB and 8 bit and I think I'd like to keep things the way
they are in grayscale and 16 bit.
