You can find your profile here.

I love this paper.

Good luck

Subject: [QuadtoneRIP] Newbie Question - Profiles for 2200, UC inks, Museo
Silver Rag and Portfolio Rag

I'm fond of Museo Silver Rag and I've been experimenting with Museo Silver
Rag, but I'm
afraid I don't see profiles for these papers with Ultrachrome inks on my
2200.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to find such profiles?

Thanks,

Dan

I also want this profile, but when I download it and put it in my profiles folder, it doesn't
show up in Quadtone.
Should I put it somewhere else and does it have to be altered in some way?
I have a Mac G5 w/ Leopard and appreciate any help.
I've been using Epson Enhanced Matte for both Museo Silverrag and Hanamuehle Photorag
with ok results but I'm sure it could be better!
Thanks.
A.

this nomenclature problem drives me nuts...
QTR does not use what the rest of the planet calls profiles.
The profiles from the museo site, and the vast majority of other profiles made by paper
companies for widespread use are color profiles, either icc or icm, for use with color
printer drivers made by those companies.
QTR does not use icc/icm profiles, it is not a color driver. It uses what are selected in the
interface as "curves"...
Then we have QTR-Create-ICC, another topic entirely...

Anyway, what you need is someone using QTR that makes their own ink setups, and uses
this paper, to share the results with you. Fortunately there is a great user base here that
tends to do just that. So... keep asking...

Ah, yes. Apologies for asking for "profiles." Now that you mention it I do recognize the
different terminology of "profiles" (as in from Epson and other sources for printing in color
on my 2200) and "curves" (for printing in monochrome via QTR).

I take it that there is not repository of curves beyond those in the install package, and that
the only way to get others is to a) make them yourself (!) or b) find someone else who has
made them, and that neither of these options are trivial matters?

Well I wouldn't say that! Many here seem to successfully do both and not hold mensa
memberships...

Also, the paper has been around for some time, you might do a search in the list and see if
someone already provided a link to something they're sharing.
