K7 - Hardware Ink Limit Calibration - Flush position

K7 - Hardware Ink Limit Calibration - Flush position

2008-03-08 by camera3481

I just bought an R2400 and am doing my first Linearization with QTR. I
printed the Ink calibration page and was surprised to see the 8th ink
position (Light Light Black - Flush cartridge) printed as well. I had
selected the QTRr2400-K7 and assumed QTR would know that this position
does not have ink. Is this normal? I'm concerned that once I start
printing this eighth position is going to be firing.

The 8-ink separation tif is the default in calibration mode. You can
load the 7-ink version by opening it from the bin folder in your qtr
installation (on a PC, don't know about mac). Selecting the QTRr2400-K7
print model has no bearing on this.
