2400 ABW softproof mismatch

2400 ABW softproof mismatch

2008-06-05 by Amadou Diallo

Used Create ICC to profile a 2400 on both glossy and matte papers through ABW mode. After
profiling, printing through the Epson driver with identical settings used to print the 21 step
target, the prints are much darker than the soft proof. PS is set for "PS manages colors" with
perceptual and bpc checked. Any ideas on what to check for accurate screen to print match?

did you check simulate paper colour in the soft proof?
that will darken the soft proof and maybe get you a closer match.

Yeah, we've been simulating paper color and ink in the softproof. Going to
do more troubleshooting tomorrow.
