I have an Epson 3800 network connected. I am running OS S 10.5.3. Having just installed QTR, I can't get it to print. I get an invalid settings message when I look at the print queue. Can I have the same printer concurrently defined for use with the Epson driver and QTR? Cheers, Jeff

Dear Jeff, I also work with osx 10.5.3 (Leopard). I do all printing from Photoshop CS3. ---------- In the print menu first I have to select the printer in the page setup menu. If you want collor you select teh epson driver. If you select quad 4800 (in your case this should be quad 3800) the driver will print collor information as black and white (BW). If I print BW off course I convert the file in CS3 first to BW. Choose profile and let Photoshop manage collors, and choose the ICC profile for your paper. In this case see below, I choose QTR Matte Paper. (I have excellent results with Hahnemule Rag brite 310 (RB 310) paper for BW) Find below my settings: ---------- In order to manage the black density well and to achieve neutral BW with deep black and excellent white tone I use the sliders below. ---------- This is what you see in the summary of the print menu ---------- Installation of QTR software should done with USB. If you did otherwise, first deinstall QTR. And reinstall. QTR did not work with my network. My regular Epson driver still works via network. For the Hahnemule paper (RB 310) I first determined the Ink limits and calulated the values for the curve text file (QuadtoneRip curce descripter file) ---------- I donnot posses a densitometer in order to produce a better calibration file. I did scan the ink limits files on a Epson 570 scanner and did read the values as tiff files in labmode in CS3. ---------- ---------- Good luck.
