Colormunki & northlight-images article

2008-07-05 by Marco Brambilla

HI everybody.

I read northlight-images' article on how to calibrate QTRip with the
Colormunki.

However, the PC version I have does not seem to have the csv export option.

However, one of the possible exports is a *.CxF2, which is really an xml
file.

I uploaded in the files section of the list a xls file (
ColorMunki_XmlImport.xls) that you can use to parse the xls and only
read the LAB values.

Just right-click on one of the title cells, then choose xml|import, then
browse to the xml file you exported.

Please feel free to ask for any questions / issues.

If Keith / anyone at norhlight-images reads this and wants to link the
file on their website pls do.

Ciao, Marco.

Hi

I noticed your comments on the Win related issue for the CM - looks like I shouldn't rely on
X-Rite telling me the Mac and Win versions are the same ;-)

I've downloaded your file and...

no mention of XML when I right click. i guess this must be some feature of the latest (PC)
version of Excel? (I use excel 2004 for the Mac). Since this is an entirely Windows free zone I
can't actually test it :-)

Could you send me some more detailed info - maybe a screen shot of the screen after right
clicking, and then I'll happily add an addendum to the article?

bye for now

Keith

Hi Keith,

here attached.

(alas) I only have available Excel 2007, so I do not know if it does not
work for you because of a Windows-Mac issue or if it something new in
the sw.

Just to be sure, you have to click on one of the cells that contain the
headers.

Ciao, Marco.

Thanks for the pic, however this feature is only in the latest version of Excel.

I'll add a note though in the original article... The CM is an excellent instrument, even if the
current software is just a little 'simplified' for more advanced users

bye for now
