QTR-Quadtone RIP

hi

I have problem with my printer (epson stylus pro 9600) of very large
orizontal banding betwen density 60 up to 90, with any kind of paper
(galerie gold silk, harman gloss fb al, hahnemuhle baryta).
we use ink Ut7 with rechargeble cardriges, we perform several hard
cleaning and head allignement.
also we linearize all the paper with Print Fix Pro and Quad Tone Rip.
the ink set is been bought on August 2007.

I just noticed exactly the same problem.

Inks: UT (not UT7
Driver : QTR 2.6.1
OS: Mac OS 10.5.4

Could it be something that appeared after QTR 2.3?

Wht I had was more like posterization in smooth light gradients.

The problsm was that I did the linearization with the 51 steps target 
instead of 21.

I redid my calibration andprofiling and now everything is fine.
