QTR-Quadtone RIP

Hello group,

I'm still new to QTR, and I'm starting to get the hang of it.  I'm
curious if anyone has had experience using the Quadtone mode (or other
split-toning techniques) in Photoshop in place of the toning curves in
QTR.  Are there any advantages or disadvantages to using this method?
 I like the ability to preview the degree of warming before printing.
 I am planning on doing some experimenting, but I'm about to do a lot
of printing for a collector and I'd like to get everyone's feedback
before I start.
