icc profile doesn't appear

icc profile doesn't appear

2008-12-15 by jconison77

Hello,
I'm running 10.5.5
I printed a 21 step wedge with my created QTR curve applied. I read the wedge using the
measure tool & saved the resulting file info as text file. I then dropped that text file into
'Create Icc' script within QTR. It produced an icc profile (.icc with the icc icon). Then I put the
profile into the profile folder .......Library>color sync> profiles. Same procedure as always.
When I try to use it in PS4, View>proof set up> all my profiles....... it doesn't show up.
My question is why doesn't it appear. I've done this with my curves in order to soft proof, but
wanted to try this to see if it was better than (more accurate) than using my curve as a soft
proof.
Thanks
Joel

I'm having the same problem on Snow Leopard. Followed the same procedure as below and the profile does not show up in the list of devices to mimic in the View menu of Photoshop CS2. The profile is right next to the QTR grey icc's that do show up.

Can anyone help with this?

Thanks
Mark Stracke
