??? Printing 21 step wedge for Linearization
2009-02-01 by Randy Rancier
I am using a Mac and version 2.6.2 OTR Photoshop CS3 I have determined my ink limits and settings for best dmax as well as the crossover ink limits. I have created my initial curve file without linearization and installed it creating the initial curves. I am ready to print the 21 step wedge in order to linearize my curves. I know I am to print the step wedge using the curves that I created in the last step, but after looking at the instructions weather I am supposed to use color management in Photoshop or use "No Color Management"??? I believe from this point on when printing the step wedge you are supposed to use color management in Photoshop with proper settings when making adjustments; am I right??? If you are supposed to use the "No Color Management" Color Handling dialog box for this step at what point do you start to use with color management and using the color profiles that came with QTR, like the "QTR_Gray_Matte_Paper" profile, with Perceptual rendering intent and Black Point compensation??? Thanks Randy
