3800 missing black on ink separation page
2009-02-02 by Joseph Robinson
I've just getting my new Epson 3800 printer going... I have a Mac running Leopard and I'm using Photoshop CS2. I am trying to calibrate using QTR so that I can profile some papers. When I look at the inkseparation.tif file in CS2, I see 8 bars corresponding to each of the inks on the printer. When I print that file out using QTR calibration mode, no text is shown at all on the page and the first line is missing. It should be black, but the first line is cyan. There are a total of 7 bars on the page, and nothing else. I downloaded the latest version of QTR 2.6 and still had the same problem. I have tried printing to both matte and glossy paper. (The printer does change to the appropriate black ink.) Any ideas or suggestions? Joseph
