drop curve

2009-02-12 by jconison77

Hello,
I'm running OS 10.5.6 & using QTR 2.6.2.
When I drop my ink descriptor file into the 'Drop quad profile' I receive a message that says
'Illegal curve name: must contain only letters, digits underscore, or dash'. In the ink
descriptor file where it says Curve_name= I entered "hahntwo". (no qutoation marks)
Why would I be receiving this message?
Thanks
Joel

Hi Joel,

The CURVE_NAME variable is not used any more.
The curve name is now taken from the name of the ink descriptor file,
so this file name is the one that should have no special characters.

Hi Roy,

I eliminated the Curve_Name so it now reads just CURVE_NAME=
Nothing is entered as curve name. I renamed my ink descriptor file
7800_K7_indescriptor_2. When I drop it into 'Drop Quad Profile I
receive the same message illegeal curve name.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
Joel

That name works fine here -- same OSX version, same QTR version, same printer.
Check the filename again maybe you have a space at the end.
You want: 7800_K7_indescriptor_2.txt not 7800_K7_indescriptor_2 .txt
