QTR / Epson 1280 / UT2 Eboni / Red River Greenpix

2009-06-03 by mbrouphy

I'm looking for some workflow information to get this paper calibrated to fully work with QTR. I've just finished, successfully somehow, installing the CFS on the 1280 with the UT2 inks.

I'm at the point where I have printed the calibration print using the 1280 profile for eboni and EEM.

Okay, where to next???

Thanks, Mike

Mike,

If you are just starting you really ought to just print with what is there.
Use the EnhMatte curves -- they are just fine as is.
Calibration etc are advanced features that you don't need.

Roy,
While I'm just starting to work with this paper as part of quest for standardizing on such a paper, warm tone that is, I'm still a techy kinda guy and will want to get more involved with the process.

There are many different sliders and adjustments available in the calibration dialog box. I'm looking for a document that outlines the use and applicability of these sliders in a calibration workflow.

I come from a b/w darkroom background where having a set of knowns about your paper, chemicals, and process dictated when you and to what extent you could vary that process to get the print you wanted and to some repeatable manner.

Thanks, Mike
