Carl & Stephen thanks.
Stephen,
did as you said and they installed. However, I ran a test print with a
sepia curve, slightly dark, but should be ok with small adjustment. Ran
a second print with another curve, cool this time. Image printed exactly
the same as the first, sepia.I right clicked all the curves[4] to check
and the four curves are all the same.
Your help would be appreciated, as to where I may have gone wrong.
regards,
Peter.

Open them in the Curve Creator part of the application and press the Create
Curve button.

Peter,

The profiles are just text files and they will work with a PC, but I
don't know what the PC procedure is for converting these curve
descriptor text files into QTR PC profiles. Surely Roy or a forum PC
user can tell you how to do this.

Are all the curves you right click on the same? You might check the file
creation dates. The curves supplied in the install should be dated earlier than
the ones you created. You did make sure the file names of the new curves were
different, didn't you?

Am I correct in thinking that using Epson 2200, with their UC inks, I
have to creat a curve/profile for printing on Hahnemuhle Photorag? As
newbie, this seems a formidable task but I'll go for it as soon as I
can load workable version of RIP.

you're referring to qtr for mac os x?

based on the available qtr curve profiles available in ...Profiles/2100-2100-UC folder on
the install image, it appears to be so if you're using the UC ink set.

however, if you decide to use the Piezography K7 ink set, a Hahnemuhle PhotoRag qtr curve
profile is available. you can find this profile in here ...Profiles/2100-2100-K7.

I have tried twice now, with two different papers, to incorporate icc profiles, but they do not
show up in the pull down curves menu. How do I get Quadtone to recognize new profiles?
One profile was for Legion Photo Silk, the other Hahnemuhle PhotoRag.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
