I've worked my through the points Joost mentioned in the thread above and have figured out how to add the Gloss Optimizer, aka GO or GL or GLOP as I often see in the posts. I'm working with a R800 and std Epson ink set.
The key points for me were: (I'm using a PC)
1-Change image file (step wedge in my case) to no 255 highlights...otherwise the GLOP does not cover any 255 tones. Just take your image/file and do a Levels Adj and set the OUTPUT slider to 254. Flatten and rename if you want.
2-For the GLOP (GL ink position lower right in Curve Creator for the R800) I used Toner for the drop down choice and then went to the Toner TAB and put in "0;80 50;20 100;80""" in the Curve rectangle space which creates an U shaped curve of GLOP. Your see this when you hit the Show Curve Button. This puts down 80% GLOP at 0 (highlights), 20% at 50 (midpoint), and 80% at 100 (shadows). For some reason it is important to put three (""") quotation marks as shown above.
This seemed like a pretty good start to reduce/eliminate the bronzing, but I may need a little more in the 60-70% range on the Epson Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster.
Any comments or additional ideas appreciated.
