banding with quadtone

I've been trying to print on pictorico ohp for polymer printing; experiencing much horizontal banding not solved by cleaning heads. I'm using an epson 2200 (there is no banding with the epson driver). A curve has already been applied to the file so I'm not applying a curve in the quadtone rip. Any suggestions?
