Grayscale ICCs

Grayscale ICCs

2010-05-13 by Walker Blackwell

This might have already come up . . . I don't know. Is there any way to change a few tags in the CreateICC grayscale profiles to make Snow Leopard/CS5 recognize them?

If not, how do I take the LaB data from inside the profile tag and rebuild it as RGB? I'm having a brain fart here . . .

All the best,
Walker

Hi Walter,

The new version of QTR 2.7 should create grayscale icc's that work.
(I've tried snow leopard
but not cs5 yet). Getting the data out of an existing QTR icc is
easy. Open it in
ColorSync Utility and scroll down the tag to "Data". Just copy &
paste the text into a
new .txt file.

Ok. I thought this would work and it didn't but I'm probably just totally frizzed after weeks of critiquing bad work. I think my brain blew a fuse. I wonder if radio shack has any brain fuses for sale. Better yet, whole new brains!

thanks Roy,
Walker
