maximum paper size

maximum paper size

2010-05-16 by robash1950

Hi
Can any one help with a paper size problem. I have set a paper size of 115cm x
60 cm
through QTR on my epson 7600.The preview looks fine but the printer will only
print a part
of my image in one corner of the paper. No problem if I use the epson software.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

This may sound silly, but make sure you are choosing the proper Roll Paper options if you are indeed printing on roll. It's somewhat different from the Epson driver and you really have to be aware of the differences. Sounds like you are using roll but not actually choosing roll in QTR. Either that or you have sheet feed chosen on the printer control panel instead of roll.

Thanks Gary
I am using sheets and all seems to be ok up to a certain size
But I will recheck all these settings
Maybe I have to use a roll when printing over a certain size

Hi Robert,

The symptoms you mention sound like a paper size that is too big -- it will
revert to the default size 8.5x11. The 7600 goes up to 24in wide, length is
quite long. In cm's you could go up to 60cm but 61cm would be too big.
You mention 115x60 but check that. The other common mistake is to mix
up width vs height. Width is across the printer, height is the length
as it comes
out of the printer. If you have a large landscape picture you must declare the
paper as a tall sheet and use the landscape mode at print time to rotate
the image.
