I am new to QTR and have tried to print out the ink separation test page on my Epson 2200. My print comes out as a grayscale instead of separate colors. I am printing as Quad 2200, 1440 super, unidirectional, ink calibration 100, ink limit 0, gamma 0, ordered dither. I have reinstalled Qtr with no change. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Do you have the epson printer driver set for color or greyscale(B&W)? --- In QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com, "jsservices2001" <jnschum@...> wrote:

Sorry, that's an issue with 2.7.0 on PCs. If you need to do a separation page you can use 2.6.2 -- just install in a different location and just use it for this. If you are "new to QTR" this is probably not where you ought to be starting. Roy

Roy Thanks for the info. I have been printing with QTR for a couple months now and decided to get in a little deeper. I purchased a Spyder3print device and am trying to educate myself a bit and hopefully improve my prints. Joe --- In QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com, Roy Harrington <roy@...> wrote:

Roy I neglected to thank you for your work in creating QTR as a quality, affordable alternative. I have been printing with Imageprint for 5 or 6 years on my 2200 and have recently decided to purchase a 3880 so I could print larger. Epson currently is offering a $300 rebate which brings the cost down to $800 or less. This is less than the current cost of Imageprint for the printer. So I am motivated by economics as well as the feeling that it is probably not a bad idea to get more involved in the process as QTR encourages. Hi! I guess that I'm in the same boat at trying to get my head around QTR. Here is something I found about using the DataColor Spectro(the Spyder3Print) for QTR(which I also have): http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/Spectro.pdf Hope it helps. --- In QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com, "jsservices2001" <jnschum@...> wrote:
