QTR and Airport Express

2010-12-15 by SandyK

I set up an Airport Express base station hoping to print with QTR by wireless to an Epson 7600. The set up appeared to go fine and I was able to chose the QTR 2.7 driver and add a QTR-7600 Airport Express printer in the Printer preferences in MAC 0S 10.6.5. However, when I try to print everything comes up looking OK, but when I attempt to select a curve there are none in the directory. I am trying to print with CS5 and I have a K7 Piezography ink set installed.

Sandy, did you run the second install in the specific folder of your printers curves and inks?

it's easy to overlook, I have. So worth asking...
So I assume hardwired it all works fine, and the only variable is the wireless? A bit out of my element here, Roy should know.

Sandy,

If the curve pulldown have None as the only curve then somehow the Install7600
script didn't do its thing. If you have the K7 inks you need to use the name
Quad7600-K7 when you create the printer in Print&Fax, you can't
rename it later.
Then you need to run the Install7600-K7 script to install the curves.
I'd Delete ones that are wrong and start over again.

Hi Guys, thanks very much.

I misunderstood about installing the curves. I had assumed that because I had already installed them for one QTR-K7 printer, the one connected by USB cable, that I would not have to do so for the Airport Express printer. I have it working now!
