QTR-Quadtone RIP

Some of this workaround may have already appeared in other postings, but I thought it worthwhile to post what settings worked for me with the latest version of the Mac OS (10.6.6) and Photoshop CS5.

1) Go to Applications>QuadToneRIP>CurveDesign>Images and open inkseparation.psd in Photoshop CS5.

2) When asked upon opening the file, assign the sRGB color space to the file. Click OK.

3) To Print, use the following settings:

     Select Proof rather than Document
     Proof: sRGB
     Color Handling: Photoshop manages colors
     Printer Profile: sRGB (may be listed as sRGB IEC61966 or similar)
     Proof Setup: sRGB Perceptual (that's the only choice I saw for sRGB on my Mac)

     Do not check: Simulate Paper Color or Simulate Black Ink

4) In QuadTone RIP, follow the usual instructions, selecting QuadTone RIP Calibration option

5) Under Printer Features in the driver, be sure to select the proper paper type (Matte or Photo).

This is what worked for me. Any comments? Alternate suggestions?
