Mac with Windows

2011-02-28 by Rusty Sterling

I don't know if this has been an issue for anyone else. I have an iMac with a partition set up for Windows. Using Parallels to launch Windows while in the Mac OS I found that I cannot print from QTR to the printer installed in Windows. So I played around and found that if I use Boot Camp to launch Windows then I can print. So there must be some conflict when operating in both at the same time.

Have you checked to see whether the USB printer device is enabled for Parallels? Device / USB / ... If the device is one of the enabled USB devices, Parallels *should* make it directly available to Windows and hence QTR.

See what happens if you enable the printer in the list of USB devices for Parallels and then reinstall QTR.

D'OH! Didn't know that. I did as you suggested and I'm printing an image as I type this. So I did not have to reinstall QTR.

Thanks!

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
