Lightroom 3 cannot see QTR icc profiles

Lightroom 3 cannot see QTR icc profiles

2011-07-15 by agoldhammer

I have run into an issue that perhaps someone can help on. I prepared a series of QTR.icc profiles last week and double checked them against ABW stepwedges. They look quite good and were all installed to the correct directory (I'm running a Win7 computer). However, today when I went to print out some images using Lightroom, the profiles do not show up at all. I double checked in Windows Explorer and they are all sitting there in the directory but are not recognized by Lightroom for some reason. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I prefer printing from Lightroom because it is more straightforward than Photoshop.

Profiles were all prepared with the most current version of QTR.

If you want to use QTR icc profiles in Lightroom generate the icc profiles using the QTR-Create-ICC-RGB script. Lightroom does not understand anything grayscale.

That would be the problem then as I did it the other way. Thanks. Fortunately, all the data is still sitting in Excel spread sheets and can easily be rerun!

Were the ICCs created with "Create ICC" or "Create ICC-RGB"? If the former,
try making them with the latter.

The former. I just redid them and they load fine into Lightroom.
