Thanks to everyone who replied to my post re:Reproduction/Travelogue.

I've owned many analogues and currently have a Voyager/Source/P5/Mk.1
Odyssey, but none of them come close to that early HL sound. My next
question is, does anyone have any experience of analogjapan? They seem
to have 3 System 100s available... www.analogjapan.com/roland1.html

Terry.

I've heard they are a bit tricky...I remember this guy
on Ebay - I believe his name was ultraman...very
overpriced but I guess with the S&H being included it
isn't that flagrant....The system 100s seem to be
fairly priced as the 101 and 102 used to go for about
800 each and the sequencer for about 700 and the mixer
250 (USD).
These listings do not seem to have been updated in 2
or three years; same prices and merch as when I first
discovered the site.
System 100 is the signature synth in my set up...I
have a 101, 2 102s and three 104s....I make all of my
drums with these as well as Odyysey MkI. The filter
on these is like no other...Incredibly thunderous,
booming lik the doors of a grand hall being slammed,
the 100m is more like dental instruments- very sharp,
pointed and tinny....
Again I remember playing the Sh5 once and I can say
that it is in keeping....must have the same filter and
ring modulator...also the sh3a has a very thick
filter, a hastey and cheaper alternative maybe to the
system 100, of course without the patchpoints and Cv.
What kind of stuff are doing with the aforementioned
synths you listed? I'm curious....
