New sequencer project

New sequencer project

2008-04-23 by ryktnk

Hello

Here is a picture of a new sequencer project
for the 100m I have been working on.

[Apologies to those who've seen it already on the other forum]

Each stage has gate mode and count switches to
set the type of note [mute, single, repeat, long],
and the length or repeat of the note [1-8].

It uses a PIC micro-controller, so is software updateable.

Hi Ryk,

Another 182 question...
I'm looking to replace a broken pot or 2 on my 182 (My cat knocked a wooden box on to the PCB!!) and from your flickr photos I can't see whether the pots you've used are vertical or horizontal PCB mount.
I'm looking for RV16AF-41 style (as used in the 182)
as seen on the alpha website http://www.taiwanalpha.com/chinese/p_e_49.htm
Have you found a source for these? Or are you soldering extra legs onto RV16AF-20 style...which seem to be everywhere.

I've never used Shaeffer front panels (or Front Panel Express), roughly how much does a panel like that cost?

That 185 sequencer looks like it would complement the 182/3 nicely.

Cheers,
Ed.

Hello

Bad luck with the cat !

I only had regular Alpha pots, so a bit of modding.

The one's Ollie suggests from Chip4brains are correct, although
I think Chip4brains pot brackets have different leg layout to 100m ones.
PS for 182m you probably need the 50K pots.

The Shaeffer front panels are pretty easy, and they are nice company
this one cost about £70, beware using black panels as you might
get "flamed" by the orthodox 100m'ers on the other forum !
