Okay, I've had a chance to check out an old catalog on the DTG
and the DSG. The three things that are present on the DSG that are
not on the DTG are:
A 3-way switch to allow the incoming CV to affect a) the rise
only, b) both the rise and fall, or c) the fall only.
A 1v/oct input, nice if you want to send a CV to several sources
and have it affect them all to the same degree.
A trigger input, which allows the generation of subharmonics.
This was one of my favorite functions on the older Positive Slew
module. Input an oscillator audio range or sub-audio, and this input
will divide it in half or in thirds or fourths or fifths, etc. If
you choose a high frequency, you will then get an octave below, then
a twelfth, then two octaves, then two octaves and a major third...
just like the harmonic series except in reverse.
If memory serves me correctly, the same PC board was used for
both modules, thus if you wanted to clutter up your panel, you could
drill some new holes and add these three items.
The most common mod that I recall for either module, was to
install a switch allowing the unit to oscillate. Similar to patching
the output back into the input for use as an oscillator.
