Rex, Repair, Redux...

2004-04-11 by synpro@aol.com

I have been dealing with Rex since he took over from Serge years ago. I have purchased (6) panels over many years and currently have a small, totally custom two panel system (pics to be posted shortly).

The number of issues I have had have been amazingly few and were always repaired quickly with great communication. I recently found that a LED was not working on my Dual Random from a panel purchased last year. I contact Rex, shipped it off and got it back all within 10 days total. Rex's service has been totally 100% professional and top notch even during the tough times with the move from SF to Wisconsin.

Rex/Serge is a cottage manufacturer, a one man operation really and that is something that needs to be kept in mind. I wish I received the same customer service and attention to detail with some other manufacturers (who do not even respond to emails or calls). We are dealing with a totally custom "luthier of synthesizers" and the biggest problem seems to be the inability to find qualified people to do the building (thus the long lead times). As far as I am concerned the end result in musical pleasure, inspiration and fun far outweigh the cost and wait. I will continue to purchase for a long time to come. My 2 cents...
