All the Doepfer stuff I own is built as cheaply as possible and in *my
newbie and wanted to learn on a cheaper system before plunging into Serge... I screwed all
the modules into the rack frames and turned on the PS... smoke started coming out of the
system and I quickly shut it off... the pos/neg wiring had been connected the wrong way
around... as you can tell from my Serge panel saga - that's the kind of luck I have with
modulars ;-)
I thought the Doepfer was fine for the bucks, sound wasn't too bad actually - but felt and
looked very cheap. When I got the Serge the Doepfer went straight in the classified ads.
