If it's a patch I need for a serious project, I either leave it in place
until the project is complete, or sample it - just the mere act of sampling
changes the sound IMO, let alone the endless tweakability while the patch is
still 'live' so to speak.
To be honest, I've just learnt to get over it and approach sounds anew every
time I switch on the Serge.
