Re: If you already owned a Serge Blue Station and Soup Kitchen

I did my entire CD "Hells Canyon" with only five panels of a 17 panel system. That CD is about as out there as can be for electronic stuff with the exception of John P who does just the most amazing things with his system. Kevin Brehany did all his work with a custom 15 panel. Between those three artists and inculding Telomere, every conceivable base is covered. And that doesn't include the wacked out stuff i recorded later with the larger system. For awhile i integrated a three frame Doepfer system. Didn't even come close and really added nothing to the mix. MOTM was a much better compliment after my modules were bananaized. Cynthias' stuff is also a good addition. But really, if you can't do it all with six to eight panels, maybe you should pick up guitar.
I did!!!! LMAO!!!

I have owned about 18 analog synths over the last 20 years, sold them
all except my Midi Jupiter 8. Modular was something, until I bought the
Serge, I never considered..

I have too released many albums over the years, and my last one under
name Cray was just laptop audiomulch, but I got fed up with mouse
pushing, and went back to analog.
Kyma seems to be amazing and has had my interest but again that ends up
being computer based.

My plan is to Bananafy all the Eurorack Plan Bs, Livewires anyway, well
I am getting an Aussie synth boffin to do it for me :-) so then I will
have a banana only system anyway :-)

Any of course the Serge is all you could ever need, but it cant do what
some of the Plan B stuff can do, it cant do the Zero osc Cynthia stuff,
so I feel I have every right to add some other bits to make the Serge
even more amazing than it already is :-)

I did think about Modcan and Cynthia and really like them but I found
the Plan B LPG to be a bit more advanced than the Cynthia ( Im sure
Peter G made the Cynthia version anyway), I felt a bit uneasy with
Modcan as there series B seems to be the big push, so didn't want to get
left out in the cold with a Series A...Going back to Cynthia, I must say
her customer response is amazing, she is really helpful, and a Zero Osc
is quite tempting:-) as I guess you all would understand.

I do also intend to buy a Synthi , as I use to own a VCS3 and loved it,
but then I got married and needed a deposit for a home , child etc :-)
