As the number of modules requiring +6v dwindled it became common
practice to put a small regulator in the panel itself rather than
distribute +6v from the central power supply. It's only a couple bucks
worth of parts and a few milliamps. If I remember right, mine's
mounted to one of the holes on the comparator PCB.
