Hi,
That's an input for modulating the sunken dome water-diffused blue
LED. The LED serves as a power indicator -- it's never completely
'off' -- but it can also serve to illuminate the front panel in
low-lighting, or when modulated by any input voltage, will cast some
wild shadows on your walls, scare or entrance your pets, etc.
