Hi Matt and all the other group members,
besides the posted replies here I got a few emails privately stating
that people might be interested in such Serge boats.
First of all I think that is manageable (but still have to ask my
metal worker for costs and delivery times)!!!
But before starting building a batch we should carefully collect
nice ideas about, e. g. how to handle the power supply system as the
Serge system is quite "bulky" and "legacy" compared to the Buchla
solution (Don Buchla chose a Laptop alike power supply with a
complete different power distribution system).
It should be quite easy to mount a Serge distro board inside one
panel and carry the power supply separately from the boat.
Then we should discuss the cable mounting (Buchla interconnected
the "distro boards" with cables going inside the wooden end cheeks).
This project could be fun...we will see...
All the best
Frank
