Hi everybody, I have been on the fence for a long time about weather
to get a Serge Creature + another undecided M-odule in a M-boat or get
a 4 module Buchla 200e in a Buchla boat. I have thought of every
possible sound configuration possible and well, I'm terribly excited
about the options!! So here are some questions I've been coming up with:
(keep in mind, I love analog so the Serge is winning the debate)
*1. creature and triple filter = oowey goodness, feedback and thick tone
*2. creature and triple osc = mega tones, FM madness
*3. creature and quad slope = FM tones, insane modulation
4. creature and gator = rhythm box, strange tones
5. creature and sys interface = plucky guitar follower
6. creature and wave proc = mega distortions, radical tones
I have no modular experience aside from playing with an EML 200, which
was limited but fun at the same time.. The Buchla box I dreamed up
seems fun also, but the 1 volt per octave scheme would work better
with the Roland crap kicking around my studio...
Have I overlooked something valuable? Tell me what you think about
those combos compared, * are main ones im thinking about... Thanks for
helping!!!
I have already asked on AH about serge and buchla, so those comments
are also apreciated and I reguard all your info on both modular
systems very highly!!!
