I was really on the fence about the knob colors too when I bought my Creature a few weeks ago – but I decided to go for the blue CV knobs, and I’m really glad I did. As Rex suggested to me, once you get a “beard” of cables covering the markings on the panel, the blue knobs jump out more readily. Plus I’ve found the differentiation helpful since (in most cases) a blue knob with nothing plugged in to its associated jack won’t do anything when turned. If the knobs were all black, I think I’d be having to peer through the jungle of cables more often to make sure I was grabbing the right knob.
