Re: PSD photo + looking for PS4

2012-01-17 by BooleanYulian

I guess one could get lucky with one of these ebay purchases as some of the sellers are reselling overstock, so in some cases the psu could be brand new.. in this case, the description does read : "tested to power-on" which would imply the the output voltage and it's consistency has not been verified.. and it's "as-is".. but worse case scenario, you only loose $29 + shipping, so I guess it's worth a try

imo.. basically just boils down to who's ready to take a risk.. I for one don't, and know enough about electronics to understand what could go wrong.. I also love my Serge too much to cut corners :)

.. my $0.02

well, I bought this one:

still in the process of setting it up for my Serge - maybe I'll be disappointed - but on the whole $29 seems preferable to $1200 which is what STS used to charge for essentially the same supply. Should be good for 10 panels (?) which is more than I will ever own

YMMV. I love the STS modules and I'm a big supporter of Rex, but there is a limit as to how far my credulity will stretch as far as fairy-dusted PSUs are concerned

sorry I didn't get to my camera for the PSD pic yet - very long day!

Used power one supplies are usually available for $50 or less on ebay.
